Direct Entry into Second Year University
Students who successfully complete the Diploma of Commerce and meet the university academic progression criteria are eligible for entry to SECOND YEAR of the following Deakin University undergraduate degrees.
The Diploma of Commerce is also recognised by other Australian universities. Students who wish to apply for another university should contact the relevant university for entry requirements and procedures.

Description The Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin is one of the most flexible and broadly based business programs on offer at any Australian university. After a common first year of study in key business disciplines through the MIBT Diploma of Commerce, students can choose from a wide range of specialist major sequences without having to lock themselves into one program from the beginning. Also students can choose from specialised areas offered by other faculties such as journalism, sociology, politics and policy studies, languages, psychology, or many other areas of interest (subject to satisfying entry requirements).

Description The Bachelor of Business Information Systems addresses the business applications of technology, the management of large quantities of information and the way in which this affects and changes modern organisations. The course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the business context in which information systems are used through core studies in areas such as accounting, business law, business communication and management. Combined with advanced studies in areas such as systems analysis and design, systems management, risk and project management, and systems networks and implementation, students develop the knowledge and skills required to meet the needs of industry for specialist information systems practitioners.

* Conditions and quotas apply. International students will be required to submit a Personal Information Statement.
# For entry into Bachelor of Laws:
International Students - must have completed and passed 8 MIBT Diploma of Commerce units; and attained a Weighted Average Mean (WAM) of at least 70% (distinction average) taking into account all units attempted at MIBT.
Australian Students - must apply through VTAC, and will be required to sit a DULSAT test.
^ Warnambool students may be required to undertake one unit in off campus or online mode.
