Certificate to 1st year Deakin University
International students may be eligible to apply for entry into first year of selected Deakin University Bachelor degrees that MIBT Diploma courses do not articulate into, after successfully completing the Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies and meeting the specified entry requirements. The table below lists the Deakin Bachelor degrees which students are eligible to apply for, following completion of the MIBT Certificate.

Entry requirements Entry 1: Complete and pass all eight units of the Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies:
(a) With an overall average of 70%, and obtain an overall IELTS score of 6 with minimum band scores of 6.
(b) Mass Communication stream with an overall average of 75%, and complete the units COM202 Communication Skills III and BUS104 Mathematics with a score of 80% or above, and obtain an overall IELTS score of 7 with minimum band scores of 7.
(c) With an overall average of 70%, and obtain a score of 75% or above in the units COM201 Communication Skills II and COM202 Communication Skills III.
(d) With an overall average of 70% and obtain a score of 75% or above in the units COM201 Communication Skills II and COM202 Communication Skills III, and obtain an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with minimum band scores of 6.
