What do you teach at MIBT?

Engineering and Science units: applied algebra and statistics, human heredity, human structure and function, advanced maths.

What do you like most about each subject?

Everyone has a different opinion which causes lots of debate!

How would you describe your teaching style?

Hands on. Every student in my class must participate.

What else can you tell us about yourself?

I’m an avid bushwalker. I have a labrador called 'Whiskey'.

Your tip for university success:

Come with an open mind. University is about exploration. It’s very different from the school system you’ve probably come from. Don’t be afraid to ask questions…. Or participate.

What do you teach at MIBT?

Health Science units: human structure and function, functional human anatomy, principles of exercise and sport science.

What do you like most about the subject?

Teaching students about the structure and function of their bodies as well as tools to use when working with a general and clinicial population.

How would you describe your teaching style?

Firm yet relaxed and encourage a supportive and involved environment.

What else can you tell us about yourself?

Without getting too personal I like to travel, surf, horse ride, dance and need yoga to keep me relaxed and sane!

Make the most of all the opportunities both educationally and socially that are offered to you.

What do you teach at MIBT?

Commerce units: business law, legal studies and introduction to university studies.

How would you describe your teaching style?

Tough but fair. I try to make it interactive and engaging, relating key concepts to the student’s everyday life.

What else can you tell us about yourself?

I love dogs, cooking, gardening, travelling and I enjoy a little solitude now and again. I speak Italian and French.

Regular participation in activities is important. Make the best of what you have now.

What do you teach at MIBT?

Engineering and Science units: mathematical modelling, statistics.

What do you like most about the subject?

I enjoy the problem solving aspect of mathematics. It is interesting to me that a problem may be approached in any number of ways, and it is finding the most effective way which is exciting!

How would you describe your teaching style?

Relevant and applied. Every student in my class is encouraged to participate and I try to link the material to real world applications as much as possible.

What else can you tell us about yourself?

I love my wii at the moment and I do Ballroom Dancing which is a bit different!

What do you teach at MIBT?

Commerce, Management, Media and Communication units: communication skills, systems analysis, business academic skills and management.

What do you like most about each subject?

Everything.

How would you describe your teaching style?

Formal but easy-going, always engaging and approachable.

What else can you tell us about yourself?

I play in a band as the lead guitarist, and I’m a qualified motor mechanic. I also make custom electric guitars and am into photography.

Be prepared for every class, be willing to learn, engage and take control.
